Since 1974,
ILSR has
championed local self-reliance, a strategy that underscores the need
for humanly scaled institutions and economies and the widest
possible distribution of ownership….
we make better and more informed policies when those

MOVE TO AMEND is a coalition of
hundreds of organizations and tens of thousands of individuals
committed to social and economic justice, ending corporate rule, and
building a vibrant democracy that is genuinely accountable to the
people, not corporate interests. We call for an amendment to the US
Constitution to unequivocally state that inalienable rights belong
to human beings only, and that money is not a form of protected free
speech under the First Amendment and can be regulated in political
campaigns.

RECLAIMDEMOCRACY.ORG works to create a representative democracy with an actively
participating public, where citizens don't merely choose from a menu
of options determined by elites, but play an active role in guiding
the country and its political agenda.
Goals include: reversing the illegitimate precedent of
granting Bill of Rights protections to corporations, and reversing
the precedent of equating political spending with
constitutionally-protected speech.
